Getting started with Locations

The location tool in Reconstruct can be accessed both from Viewer and Data Manager. In nature, this tool is very similar to the "sectioning tool" but from a usability perspective, you can leverage its integrity in both Viewer and Data Manager to manage and organize all types of data including BIM, Drawings, Point Clouds and Images by grouping them into different locations. 

How to create locations

1. Create locations in Data Manager

in this article, you can learn more about how to create and edit different locations in the Data Manager for point clouds. A pretty similar approach can be taken for drawings in this article. 

2. Create locations in Viewer

in this section, you can learn more about how to create and edit different locations in the Viewer.  In addition to creating and editing location names, in the Viewer, you can define bounding box limits of locations (similar to sectioning tool) in 3D space.
