We're thrilled to introduce a new feature to our measurement tools! Launched on February 22, 2014, this update enhances your ability to make precise selections in 360° images.
Measurement Magnifier Lens: Zoomed-In Precision for Your Selections
The Magnifier Lens feature enables you to accurately select the exact pixel you need, ensuring precision while maintaining a full view of your scene. This improvement allows you to clearly see what you're measuring without the need to zoom in and lose context. When you make a selection, a magnifier lens appears next to your cursor, displaying an enlarged view of the area around your mouse pointer, enhancing your confidence in making the perfect selection every time.
Cleaner, Clearer Measurements Interface
To enhance your measurement experience, we've simplified the interface and introduced new features for greater accuracy and focus.
- Magnifier Lens Feature: Available for Angle, Distance, Height, Footprint Area, Plane-fit Area, and Surface Area measurements, offering zoomed-in precision.
- Navigation: Use the arrow keys to move from image to image through the space, crucial for obtaining larger measurements.
- Minimized Interface: Focuses your attention solely on the measurement at hand. When measuring, the navigation map, side panels, and all 360° images are hidden, providing a clear view for your task.
- Improved Selection: 360° panorama donuts are hidden during measurements for clear and unobstructed selection.
Upcoming Enhancements to Measurement Tools:
Currently, the Magnifier feature is not supported for perspective images captured with drones or smartphones. However, Reconstruct is actively developing innovative solutions to enhance measurements across all 3D reality models, ensuring a more seamless and accurate experience for every user.
How to Get the Update:
On Thursday February 22nd, all projects will have the new Measurement Magnifier Lens enabled! Simply make a measurement with the Angle, Distance, Height, Footprint Area, Plane-fit Area or Surface area tools and see for yourself!
Our Commitment to You:
Thank you for your continued support and feedback. We are committed to enhancing your measurement experience, and these improvements are just the beginning.
