The viewer enables users to measure, align, annotate, markup, and share their interactions with these 3D models. Many of these activities require picking points on either point clouds, images, or BIM models.
Picking Points on Point Clouds
A red target will follow where the mouse cursor travels and will rotate to be tangential to the point cloud surface. Click the first point and release the first click before clicking the next point. After picking the points, orbit around them to check if they landed in the correct place.
Picking Points on Images
You can also pick points in the image view, where images overlay the point cloud. The points will land on the point cloud behind the image.
Picking Points on BIM
Picking points on BIM models is similar to picking points on point clouds. The target will rotate to be tangential to the BIM surface but does not snap to corners or edges.
