The pin custom settings will allow you to:
- See who created the pin to support cross-functional collaboration.
- See the pin coordinates with respect to either GPS coordinates or Relative to Origin of the project.
- Set and use label presets to easily and conveniently organize your pins.
- Add and set custom fields to note issues and details.
Showing Pin Creator & Coordinates
To show who created the pin and display the coordinates of the pin, click the settings icon on the upper right corner of the pin dashboard and select "Show who created pin" and "Display pin coordinates". You have the option to display pin coordinates relative to the origin or use GPS coordinates.
Using Label Presets
You can use label presets to quickly create multiple pins with the same name. Go to the settings, select "Use Label Presets", type in the label name, and press the ENTER key on your keyboard to save the label preset. The next time you create a pin, you can select the label preset from the dropdown that appears under the pin name instead of typing it out.
Showing Custom Fields
Use custom fields in the pin settings to track recurring problems, location, priority hierarchy, due dates, etc. Select "Show custom fields" in the settings, type in the field name, and type in the presets (pressing the ENTER key to save each preset). To add more custom fields, click the icon above the text "Enforce Presets". To enforce presets, select the small box next to the field preset typing area. Enforcing presets removes the option of typing the custom field for the pin, showing a dropdown selection of the field presets created instead.
Changing Pin Color
To change the color of a pin individually, select the pin, click on the colored square, and select a new color from the options. You can also change the color of all pins with the same label preset. Go to the settings, click the circle next to the label, and select a new color. When you use label presets again, the pin color will automatically change to the color selected in the custom settings.
