The recommended formats for BIM models are (*.RVT) and (*.NWD) files, the table below explains the differences between them.

Reconstruct also can import Synchro models if they are exported to (*.IFC) format. If you have a Synchro model, you can export it to (*.IFC) and upload it to Reconstruct. In this case, Reconstruct can read all the components of that model, including BIM, Schedule, and the link between them.
