When you create/receive new version of BIM or schedule in your project, you can upload the new versions to Reconstruct, and copy the 4D mapping from old versions. (or you can also copy links from any schedule file to another one as long as activity IDs between these two have a 1:1 match)
New Schedule
If you have a new version of the project schedule from P6 or MS Project, you can upload that new version and copy the 4D BIM mapping (links to BIM) from old schedules by following these instructions:
- Login to Reconstruct
- Go to the Data Manager of your project
- Go to the Schedule tab
- Save the current schedule (if it is not already saved)
- Upload the new schedule
- Activate the new schedule
- Select the new schedule, and click on the "Edit 4D BIM"
- Select the old schedule under the "Copy all from schedule" drop-down menu at the top left-hand side of the box.
- Click "Save"
- "Save" the schedule
Notes:
- This process only works if the activity IDs are the same between both schedules
New BIM
If you have a new version of one or many of your BIM models, you can upload them and copy 4D mapping (link to the schedule) from old BIMs by following these instructions:
- Login to Reconstruct
- Go to the Data Manager of your project
- Go to the BIM tab
- Upload new BIM models
- Wait for them to be processed (this might take some time for large models)
- Deactivate old BIM models
- Activate new BIM models
- Open the viewer to make sure your BIM Models are imported correctly and are in the correct place
- Go back to the Data Manager
- Go to the Schedule tab
- Select the current active schedule
- Save the schedule (if it is not already saved)
- Click on the "Edit 4D BIM" button on the top right-hand side of the screen
- In front of every new BIM model, select the current schedule in the first column and the old BIM in the second column
- Click on "Save"
Notes:
- This process only works if the elements IDs in BIM models are the same
