Discover how to effortlessly set up Street View as your default project loading mode for an engaging and seamless experience in the Reconstruct Viewer. In this article, we'll walk you through the simple steps to enable Street View in the Reconstruct Viewer and share what you can expect from this immersive feature.
Instructions
Step 1: Log in and Access Settings
First, log in to Reconstruct and go to your project's Data Manager or Viewer. Once there, click on your name in the top right-hand corner of the screen and choose "Edit User Profile."
Step 2: Set Default View Mode
Scroll down the list until you find the section that reads "Choose what view mode to enter the viewer at:". Then, select "Image" as the view mode.
Remember, this setting is saved at the user level, not the project level. If you want other users of your project(s) to experience the same default view mode, they'll need to adjust this setting in their own user profiles.
What to Expect in the Street View Experience
- Minimal Switching Between View Modes: Street View Experience keeps you in Image view mode, reducing the need to switch between 2D and 3D view modes.
- Automatic Image View: Your projects will always start in Image view. Reconstruct automatically finds the most recent capture location or uses a default location (if defined) and places you inside an image from that reality capture.
- Navmap Display: The Navmap showcases all camera types, including image positions (Capture App pinned images) and the route the capture was taken.
- Location Indicators and Time Travel: Locations with reality data on the active date of the Timeline are marked with a yellow dot in the Location Dropdown list. Each location item features a Time Travel button (clock icon) that transports you to the most recent reality capture in that location.
