Transformation Parameters
Choose which control points to use for the alignment by checking/unchecking the In use box associated with each point. Remember that the minimum required number of control points is 3.
Pick the type of transformation to include in the alignment. While Translate is always activated, check/uncheck the boxes next to Rotate and/or Scale as desired when performing the alignment. By default, all 3 transformation types are included in the alignment.
Alignment
To perform the alignment, click the "Align" button on the upper right corner. The new alignment will be automatically saved. If the alignment results are unsatisfactory and you want to revert back to the previous alignment, use the Undo/Redo buttons to return the To-Align Model to its previous coordinates. Use the reset button to return the To-Align Model to its original coordinates.
Refining the Alignment
The alignment can be refined by adding additional control points or by placing the pins with better accuracy. The pins can be dragged to a different position by clicking and holding the pin for half a second with your left mouse button and dragging it to the new location.
Remember to click the "Align" button every time you want the alignment to be updated.
Refer to Alignment Workflow for more insights on how to achieve optimum alignment results in Reconstruct.
